Aircraft listings provided by the various governments - and which are often found to be out of date and/or inaccurate - can be best accessed through the "Landings" website. There you can find registration search engines for the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, the Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Singapore, Sweden. The author has also searched the microfiche records of the US FAA for historical ownership data on Cirruses owned by US pilots.

The author is indebted to Bob Kent of the UK, a balloonist with a hobby of listing all the world's civil aircraft, who has provided a substantial amount of data on the Cirrus, particularly those outside North America. Bob has expressed his willingness to respond to queries.

A great deal of the very interesting detailed information was provided by a host of individuals who generously contributed anecdotes, corrections, and other tidbits of historical interest. Many - but not all - of these contributors are identified by links imbedded in the data for individual ships.

The Schempp-Hirth representative in the United States is Knauff and Grove.
